Hello Mr. Hoffman,
would you please return to grade school and learn some decent english?

"Who will you choose?" is totally nonsense.
There are two correct english sentences which resemble this garbage:
1) "Whom will you choose?"
2) "Who will choose you?"
Your variant makes absolute no sense, as you have two words in the nominative case.

Danny (Recent convert)

P.S.: I have converted to the Church after seeing this very video and talking with two missionaries about it. As they could explain to me how this video distorts the facts and what the Church really believes, I prayed to God about the Book of Mormon, and He answered my prayer. Praise to God, I have found His Only True Church!!!

As for your convertion, it's a total lie. You are again coming here with false ID's....
Your newest ID is "HideYoshi" which I had to bann from the open forum for posing as different people. So, thanks for the heads up on the title.

Eric,

I have recently become addicted to your podcast because I am for the first time engaging with Mormon missionaries. It is very interesting and I pray that the dialog can continue.

The idea that Mormons pray about the Book of Mormon's truthfulness and THAT IS ALL they need to believe it is so sad to me. One of God's most amazing gifts (and evidence that we were indeed made in his image) is our minds: God gave us the ability to reason, the ability to use logic, and hopefully the desire to test things and examine them both empirically and in light of scripture. Why throw these gifts out the door?

Eternity is a long time to be wrong about Jesus just based on your feelings.

Here's an example dialog from my first meeting with the Mormon guys:
(MM = Missionary, CF = me)

CF: How do you know that Mormonism is true?
MM: I prayed to God to reveal to me if the Book of Mormon is true and this amazing feeling came over me. It was so powerful, like nothing I had ever imagined, it felt so good.
CF: Where did that feeling come from?
MM: From the Holy Spirit who testifies within me.
CF: How do you know that's the Holy Spirit of the one true living God?
MM: What do you mean?
CF: I am asking you if it's possible that you are being decieved by other spiritual forces, or if your mind is creating these sensations due to your expectations?
MM: Niether my mind nor Satan could make me feel this good?
CF: Why don't you think Satan could make you feel that good? Satan is very high on the list of the most powerful being in the universe... second only to God Himself (the trinitarian God of course).
MM: Well I just know it's true, there's no denying it.
CF: How do you know when other things are true in life?
MM: I pray.
CF: Really, that's it?
MM: What do you mean?
CF: Do you rely strictly on your feelings when deciding that other titanic aspects of your life are true; such as whom to marry, or which surgeon or financial advisor to choose?
MM: No.
CF: In these other areas, you investigate right? You do a bit of homework don't you?
MM: Yeah, but that's different... those aren't spiritual matters.
CF: So... I think the same tests can be applied. If Mormonism is objectively true then it should stand up to any scrutiny that we throw at it. We ought not fear probing it, correct?
MM: I agree.

... so then I go on to offer MANY proofs that Mormonism is false. The questionable (to put it very mildly) character of the false prophet Joseph Smith (polygamy, Kinderhook plates, Book of Abraham, various versions of the first vision, on and on and on), the easily falsifiability of the BOM, the heretical doctrines (identity and form of God, polytheism, identity of Jesus, etc.) the legalism (must tithe, must marry, etc.), the racism... it just goes on and on and on.
Mormonism has more apologetical problems than any other worldview there is... but the problem is, Mormons are afraid of the truth. They usually plug their ears and close their eyes and say "yeah, well you can find a scandle with any religion."

I pray daily that the Mormon church will repent.

YOU KNOW their leaders KNOW that Mormonism is false, but they are so greedy about maintaining control of money and people that they simply won't let it go.

I just hope that my fellow mankind will be exposed to the lies of Mormonism and turn to the true life-giving, freedom inducing, REAL Lord Jesus Christ.

Come home everybody, the Lord awaits you.
