According To Mormons, Jesus Is Not The Only Person Worthy of Praise

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints otherwise known as Mormons was founded by a man named Joseph Smith in the early 1800’s. Smith allegedly was instructed by an angel named Moroni to retrieve an ancient record written upon golden plates, that would contain the account of Jesus Christ visiting the Americas after his crucifixion.
Supposedly, Joseph Smith then translated these ancient writings into English with the power of God. This translation is now known as the Book of Mormon.
All though this incredible story falls on the testimony of one man, and history has proven this tale to be of fiction; Mormons still have faith and believe that Smith's work is worthy of more than just mere recognition.
In traditional Christianity the idea of worshiping or giving praise to anyone other than God is considered blasphemous. The fundamental belief of only one God who is worthy of worship, can be found throughout the bible. (see Isaiah 43:10, 9:6, John 10:30, 1:1-3, Luke 1:35, Matthew 3:16)
Mormons consider themselves Christians. But are they really abiding by the traditional theological teachings of the Bible?

Let’s compare the LDS Hymn “Praise To The Man” to Biblical Christianity.
LDS Hymn #27 Praise To The Man:
Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah! Jesus anointed that Prophet and Seer. Blessed to open the last dispensation, Kings shall extol him, and nations revere.
Chorus: Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again.
2) Praise to his memory, he died as a martyr; Honored and blessed be his ever great name! Long shall his blood, which was shed by assassins, Plead unto heaven while the earth lauds his fame.
3) Great is his glory and endless his priesthood: Ever and ever the keys he will hold. Faithful and true, he will enter his kingdom, Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old.
4) Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven; Earth must atone for the blood of that man. Wake up the world for the conflict of justice. Millions shall know "brother Joseph" again.

Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people.
Psalm18:49 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name.
Psalm 27:6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
